Wheel of Life ~ Wall Piece

Completely hand-spun wool woven together to create this warming wall piece hung on drift wood collected from the eastern coastline I call home.

This is a very earthy work which was created out of combining a variety of animal fleeces with a cotton warp.

Over the course of several days this piece formed from trial spinning these different textured fleeces on my wheel to then weaving together the yarn on my loom.

Beautiful in a living room nook, a library, bedroom, or hall space.

Created in my tiny home in Byron Bay, NSW Australia

Measurements: 80cm long including tassels and drift wood x 40cm wide (driftwood is 49cm across the top of the work)
