Testimonials
Beginner RHL weaving
Learning under Sophie's tutelage has been a treat. She's a master of waltzing the delicate balance between guiding with a gentle hand and stepping back to allow constructive mistakes and individual creativity. I'm super stoked with the piece I created with Sophie and it's been rather rewarding to understand how a loom/weave works, choose my own designs and bring it forth into reality.

Beginner RHL weaving
I am so grateful to have met Sophie and begin my weaving journey with her. We did a private 2 day workshop and it was so lovely to sit in nature, the elements, drink tea and weave together. Sophie introduced me to the weaving method of Saori which is free & intuitive, and she is very encouraging & empowering - my first lesson she looked at my dress I was wearing & said ‘you can make that’. With this foundation I began with confidence in myself - I’ve never felt like I couldn’t achieve the piece I was dreaming up. Sophie has mentored me with projects since and I really value her guidance & friendship.

Beginner RHL weaving
I took 2 classes with Sophie learning how to use the rigid heddle loom. Sophie is a proficient workshop facilitator who creates a pleasant, safe learning environment and she is extremely willing to share her knowledge. I really appreciated the encouragement to play with different fibres and techniques over the workshop.
